The national food regulatory body Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) issued an order making it mandatory for every food business operator (FBO) with either a Central or a state FSSAI license to have at least one trained and certified food safety supervisor for every 25 food handlers on each of their premises, the order read. Centre for Public Health and Food Safety (CPHFS) is a training partner for Food Safety Training and Certification Programme (FoSTaC) of the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), Government of India.
